Al Mouj Golf Club
Along a two-kilometre stretch of pristine coastline, flanking the Indian Ocean and with the stunning Hajjar mountain range in the background, lies a striking oasis of lush green grass, accented with bunkers, water hazards and natural dunes. At 7,342 yards long, the 18 hole Championship Course at Al Mouj Golf is Oman’s first links style course offering amateurs and professionals a challenging, yet rewarding, game of golf. Complementing the Championship Course are world-class facilities including a teaching academy, a floodlit par-3 nine-hole course, floodlit driving range and restaurant.
Al Mouj is also now also a fully-fledged European Tour Venue, hosting the annual NBO Oman Open won by Joost Luiten in 2018.
Muscat Hills Golf Club
Muscat Hills Golf Course was the first 18 hole grassed golf course to be built in the Sultanate of Oman. Designed by Paul Thomas of David Thomas and Associates the 72-par, 6383-meter golf course is uniquely designed over 45 hectors of land that boasts sea views and a spectacular back drop of the Al Hajar Mountains. The course is landscaped in and around the natural Wadi terrain offering generous fairways and challenging shots over the wadi escarpments.
Ghala Golf Club
Established in 1971, Ghala Golf Club is the first independent golf club in Oman. Starting out as a 9-hole, sand course, it has since been redesigned into a challenging 18-hole, grass course. Designed by Bill Longmuir, the course is uniquely set into a wadi, draped on both sides by the dramatic Al-Hajar mountains. The 18-hole course provides a fun challenge to all skill levels with its narrow fairways leading into the mountains. Driving range facilities, a putting and chipping practice green and golf carts.
